Police say a bank on Park Street in Galena was robbed Tuesday morning, July 2nd, shortly after 9 am.  A suspect handed a note to the teller that he was armed.  He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.  Westerville police were assisting Delaware County officials to stop the suspect.  Westerville police set up road blocks on Sunburty Road at County Line Road to try to stop the suspect’s vehicle.  Suspect was a white male in his mid 20′s, whom is under 6 feet tall and weight of approximately 175 pounds.

On July 11, Shane Bowlin confessed to robbing a total of three banks including the Galena Bank.  Bowlin allegedly committed those robberies while on federal probation for another robbery.    He was arrested in Cincinnati.
