On Tuesday, January 07, 2014, at approximately 9:35 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Chase Bank located at 2660 E. Main Street, Bexley, OH 43209.  The subject, labeled the “Critter Cap Bandit” by law enforcement, allegedly entered the bank and demanded money. During the robbery, the subject displayed a handgun.  The subject is described as a white male, approximately 6’2” tall, with a slender build, and an estimated age in the 30′s.  The subject was wearing a grey hooded jacket and a blue/green “critter cap” style hat with an animal face and ears on it.  Anyone with information concerning this robbery is asked to contact the Bexley Police Department at (614) 559-4444. Update - The robber has been identified as Michael Hay.  He has been identified as the robber in eight Ohio bank robberies.
