On February 5, 2013, at approximately 9:26 AM, a suspect wearing a black hooded jacket, black mask and dark pants entered the Chase Bank, 1500 W. 5th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, and jumped on the Teller’s Counter demanding cash while displaying a silver colored handgun. The Teller removed the money from the drawer and handed it to the suspect who placed the money in a tan colored bag and fled the bank. The suspect paused at the front door, stating “Thank You” and then ran out the front door and then north on Broadview from the bank. The suspect is described as a male subject, 5’06”, 150 pounds and a small build.
The Public Eyes organization pays rewards to individuals who provide tip information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing central Ohio bank robberies. Persons wishing to submit a tip via email or telephone are not required to furnish any personal or identifying information, however if you wish to be considered for a reward through the Public Eyes organization, you will need to furnish your true name and contact info so that investigators will be able to contact you for additional information if needed as well as verify your identity. All reasonable efforts will be made by law enforcement investigators and the Public Eyes organization to keep your identity confidential. Regardless of whether you submit a tip anonymously or otherwise, if submitting a tip via email, you must complete the security box verifying the letters as shown so that the email message will be deemed authentic and pass through the server.
