| Description: | On Saturday, February 20, 2010, at approximately 10:46 am, a man who looked like he finished “in second place” in a recent boxing match entered the Chase Bank, 1698 N. High Street, Columbus, and was observed apparently writing a robbery note on a stand inside the lobby. The man then approached a teller and passed a note stating he was robbing the bank and people would die if he didn’t get money. As the teller began to slowly retrieve money from the drawer, the man said he had a gun and was in a hurry. Although no weapon was shown, the teller complied and sped it up a little and gave the man money from her drawer. The robber took the money and fled the bank. Witnesses described the man as a white male, approximately 20’s-to early 30’s of age, 5’7”, medium build, with red skin blotches or recent facial trauma under his eyes as though he had been in a fight and not fared so well, dark winter cap, dark jacket over a green shirt, and dark pants. The robber has been identified as Michael T. Mangan.
