Columbus Police responded to the Chase bank located at 3100 W. Broad St. on a report of a robbery. A male suspect entered the institution, approached the teller window and committed a robbery by demanding money and implying he was armed. The suspect fled the bank in blue sedan, with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was described as being M/B/35-40, 5’5 -5’7, 150 to 160 lbs. Suspect was unshaven and wore a black skull cap on his head. The suspet as was wearing a black shirt with a white marbling pattern. The shirt had the number “22″ on the front in gold. In addition to having a gold hash mark designs down both sleeves. Update – The robber has been identified as Fredderick L. McElroy.
