On Sunday, February 14, 2010, Valentine’s Day, at approximately 12:08 pm, a man wearing a hooded coat and believed to be brandishing a dark-colored handgun which he held inside a plastic bag, entered the Cooper State Bank, 5090 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio and ordered tellers at gunpoint to give him money.  The tellers complied and placed money into a separate plastic bag that the robber threw to the tellers.  The robber took the plastic bag containing the money and exited the bank, where witnesses observed him walk quickly southbound along High Street towards Graceland Shopping Center.  The robber was described as a white male, approximately 30’s – 40’s of age, 5’10”, medium build, dark goatee & moustache, wearing a dark hooded coat, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.  The robber has been identified as Thomas A. Jones.

The Public Eyes organization pays rewards to individuals who provide tip information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing central Ohio bank robberies.
