On Friday, December 23, 2011, at approximately 2:36 pm, a man wearing a mask and carrying a reusable grocery bag entered the Fifth Third Bank, 6935 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, and walked directly to the teller counter where he verbally demanded money from the tellers.  Although no weapon was observed, the tellers complied and placed money into the bag.  The robber took the bag containing the money and fled the bank.  The robber was last observed running towards a residential area.  Officers responding to the scene located clothing items discarded by the robber near a fence.  The robber was described as a white male, approximately 20’s-30’s of age, 5’10”, heavy build, wearing a dark hooded coat, dark toboggan, dark mask across the lower portion of his face, dark gloves, and dark pants.

The Public Eyes organization pays rewards to individuals who provide tip information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing central Ohio bank robberies. Persons wishing to submit a tip via email or telephone are not required to furnish any personal or identifying information, however if you wish to be considered for a reward through the Public Eyes organization, you will need to furnish your true name and contact info so that investigators will be able to contact you for additional information if needed as well as verify your identity. All reasonable efforts will be made by law enforcement investigators and the Public Eyes organization to keep your identity confidential. Regardless of whether you submit a tip anonymously or otherwise, if submitting a tip via email, you must complete the security box verifying the letters as shown so that the email message will be deemed authentic and pass through the server.
