| Description: | On Saturday, January 31, 2009, at approximately 11:37 am, a man wearing a white hoodie, mask, and sunglasses entered the Fifth Third Bank, 1960 N. High Street, Columbus, and walked directly in front of customers waiting in line and pointed a silver-colored revolver at a teller and demanded money. The teller began removing money from his drawer, but apparently wasn't moving quick enough, as the robber jumped partially up on the counter and thrust the gun a little closer to the teller's face. The robber grabbed money from the teller's hand, shoved it in his pockets, and jogged out of the bank. Witnesses saw the man run southbound from the bank. Quick responding Columbus Police Officers saw a man matching the description of the robber and gave chase. The robber was captured a short distance away carrying the bank loot. Witnesses positively identified the man as the robber. The robber is identified as Corvin T. Amos |
