On 11-02-18, at 11:53 am, a black male entered the Heartland Bank and presented the teller with a small black object implying that it was a bomb. The suspect demanded money from the teller and threatened that the bomb would explode if the teller did not comply. The teller removed money from the cash drawer and gave it the suspect. The suspect fled the bank without further incident. The suspect was described as being in his 30′s, 6-0, wearing a black coat with a hood and wearing a black knit cap.

The Public Eyes organization pays rewards to individuals who provide tip information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing central Ohio bank robberies. Persons wishing to submit a tip via email or telephone are not required to furnish any personal or identifying information, however if you wish to be considered for a reward through the Public Eyes organization, you will need to furnish your true name and contact info so that investigators will be able to contact you for additional information if needed as well as verify your identity. All reasonable efforts will be made by law enforcement investigators and the Public Eyes organization to keep your identity confidential. Regardless of whether you submit a tip anonymously or otherwise, if submitting a tip via email, you must complete the security box verifying the letters as shown so that the email message will be deemed authentic and pass through the server.
