| Description: | On Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at approximately 1:30 pm, a man carrying several papers in his hand entered the Key Bank, 88 E. Broad Street, Columbus, and walked up to a teller where he leaned in and told the teller he was robbing the bank. Although no weapon was observed, the teller cooperated and handed the man money from her drawer, including a dye-pack. The robber took the money and dye-pack and fled the bank, leaving several of the papers behind. Witnesses observed the robber enter a black-colored Jeep Cherokee being driven by another individual. The vehicle took off southbound on Third Avenue when witnesses observed red smoke pouring out of the vehicle, apparently from the dye-pack that exploded. The vehicle slowed down and the dye-pack was thrown from the vehicle. The vehicle continued out of the area before police arrived. The robber was described as a black male, approximately 40’s of age, 6′1″, medium build, wearing a baseball cap and camouflage jumpsuit. |
