On Saturday September 16, 2017, at approximately 11:23 AM, Newark police officer was dispatched to the PNC bank at 68 West Church Street in Newark in reference to an aggravated robbery. Employees reported that a lone gunman entered the bank, presented a silver, semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. Once the employees complied with his demand, he fled the bank. There were no injuries. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a male, black, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches. He is between 20 and 30 years of age, with a medium build.
