Description:

On Thursday, March 11, 2010, at approximately 10:21 am, a man entered the Giant Eagle, 4780 W. Broad Street, Columbus, in the Lincoln Village area, and approached a teller at the US Bank located inside the store.  Once in front of the teller, the man stated that he was robbing the bank, wanted the teller’s money, and if she cooperated, she wouldn’t get hurt.  While the teller was removing money from her drawer, the robber stated that he was late on his house payment and wanted all her money.  Although no weapon was observed, the teller complied and gave the robber money from her drawer.  The robber took off out of the Giant Eagle store.  Although some of us were born at night, it wasn’t last night, so investigators doubt that he is making a beeline to pay his house payment.  The robber was described as a white male, 30’s-40’s of age, 5′8″, thin build, scruffy appearance, wearing a green baseball cap, dark goggles, and puffy dark coat.  The robber has been identified as James P. Eickel.
