| Description: | On Thursday, March 4, 2010, at approximately 3:52 pm, the man dubbed the “Suburban Bank Robber” entered the Whitehall Credit Union, 5025 E. Main Street, Columbus, wearing his usual “robbery suit,” that is, dark hoodie, sunglasses, and black gloves, and walked up to a teller where he leaned in and told the employee he was robbing the bank and wanted him to put money into a plastic bag that he placed on the counter. Although no weapon was observed, the teller complied and placed money into the bag. The robber picked up the bag containing the money and casually walked out of the bank. Witnesses saw the man quickly walk westbound from the bank, then southbound behind a nearby business. The robber was observed entering a blue-colored vehicle, possibly a small Chevrolet or Kia, and drive away westbound on E. Main Street. The robber was described as a white male, approximately 30’s of age, 5’10” – 6’1”, thin build, unshaven, wearing a dark hoodie, sunglasses, blue jeans, and dark gloves. The robber has been identified as Joseph E. Adams. |
